Dying Light Uncut drops you into Harran, a city sealed off from the outside world after a mysterious virus turned most of its population into flesh-hungry infected. You play Kyle Crane, an operative sent in on a secret mission to track down a man holding information his superiors badly want. What you find inside the quarantine is a struggling community of survivors, and a choice between the orders you were given and the people who need you. From the studio behind Dead Island and Call of Juarez, this first-person action survival game earned over 50 industry awards and nominations and seven years of post-launch support, and it remains one of the defining zombie games of its generation.
A City Built to Be Climbed
Harran is a vast open world, and parkour is how you move through it. Every wall, fence, balcony and rooftop is a route, and the free-running system lets you chain climbs and leaps into long, fluid runs across the skyline. Staying off the ground is often the difference between reaching your objective and becoming another body in the street. Exploration pays off too: remote areas of the city hide supplies, and the atmosphere of a sun-bleached metropolis slowly coming apart is unlike anything else in the genre.
Creative, Gory Combat
- Craft your own arsenal
- Scavenge for parts and blueprints, then build and modify melee weapons that suit how you like to fight. A pipe, a machete or a hammer can become something far nastier with the right components, and every swing lands with weight.
- Use the world against them
- The environment is a weapon in its own right. Kick infected into spikes, lure them into traps, drop them from ledges or simply use height and momentum to break through a crowd. Combining weapon types with your growing abilities opens up options well beyond a straight fight.
Day and Night Are Two Different Games
In daylight, the infected are slow and you are the hunter, picking your targets and moving through the city with confidence. When the sun goes down the balance flips. The infected become faster, more aggressive and far more dangerous, and the same rooftops you crossed freely an hour earlier turn into an escape route you may not survive. The sensible plan is to be somewhere safe before dark. When that fails, keep moving, stay unseen and do not look back.
Better Together
- Play the full story campaign solo, or join forces with up to three other players in four-player online co-op and take on Harran as a team. Coordinating routes, sharing loot and covering each other's escapes changes how the city feels.
- Steam Achievements, Steam Workshop support and Steam Cloud saves round out the package, so your progress and any community creations travel with you across sessions.
- The game is fully localised into 17 languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Polish, Japanese, Korean and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, with the full interface and subtitles available.
